I'm an Applied AI Engineer. I want to be the engineer a founder can sit down with, explain a messy customer problem to, and work with until the solution becomes part of someone's everyday routine.
At Roitech, I was employee #1 and the only full-time engineer. I developed substantial parts of SusanAI, a company-owned restoration-estimating product, taking an early React/FastAPI scaffold to its first working vertical slice in approximately five weeks, then continuing through deployment and operations.
The difficult part was what happened after the AI answered. A plausible suggestion could select the wrong material or unit. An edit could leave an old approval attached to changed work. I implemented exact catalog validation, evidence-backed human review, and approvals tied to the reviewed revision, alongside recovery, billing, and integration with existing estimating software.
I'm looking for that next close working relationship with a founder: understand the customer's work, build the first useful version, and keep improving it as we learn what earns a place in their day.
