A few weeks ago, LinkedIn introduced a "This looks like AI slop" button and to linkedIn's credit, my feed has been a lot better since that happened.

There's still some going around of course, but it's far less than the endless stereotypical linkedIn chum in the feed that there was.

I don't know if engaging with that button means I'm less likely to be served such content, or whether it's cleaning up everyone's feeds.

The worst were the ones starting, "I had a client phone me up", and when you'd look at the profile they wouldn't even obviously have such clients, and certainly wouldn't be the obvious person to call in that scenario.

I can't imagine being that shameless, and just to boost an artificial reach.

I would guess it's both cause I've been having less AI slop on LinkedIn for the past few weeks (yet not none).


Why are you guys still looking at the feed is the real question.


I like to keep track of where my former colleagues have gone so I can feel bad about where I'm at.
