Can you (ublock, privacy badger, etc) at least block the videos / animations auto-playing all over the screen to give me some control over which ads steal my focus and time?
Stopping the movement of all things unless click / tap to play would be a huge adblock win in my book.
Certainly not the only data center that is not backed up in the past 12 months..
858TB gone forever: South Korea's data center fire shows the cost of no ...
Oct 9, 2025 The National Information Resources Service (NIRS) in South Korea, however, recently lost 858TB of government data after a fire broke out in the building - and there were no backups.
I've wondered if it cost $10 to get through my email box the first two times what they would mean.
Hormozi could charge $1,000 to get into his read box.
We could refund people, add them to a whitelist - and return a 405? payment required by default and things change in interesting ways when the amount is variable.
There are platforms based on this idea: pay to reach a public person’s inbox, often with guaranteed responses (“guaranteed” as in “you get a response or you money back”). For example: https://mypublicinbox.com/en/
And last time I used it, when I went to export in high resolution (don't recall if it was 1080 or 4k) - it refused to export in the resolution that I uploaded unless I paid for an upgrade.
I can't stand monthly rent forever, yet a time many moons ago, descript's method was novel enough to give it a whirl.
It's no longer novel, just like many other projects.
yes. and I tell everyone that I expect that to change, so don't get used to the current status quo. We won't be able to build with top notch semi-unllimited robots for 20-$30 per month after the IPOs I am sure..
However we are seeing models come out like Gema and the distilation accused that are likely capable of building a browser based Descript, or Quickbooks (as most people would use them) and many other saas type things.. just running on a walmart PC for free at this point and going forward right?
So the future is now, the platform and url may change, but it looks like most software and art will be reproducible for 50 cents or a bit more one way or another. Maybe not as polished, maybe missing a few things that elitists point to.
That's not going to replace the software subscriptions for the fortune 500.
Yet it's already replaced several saas monthly / yearly payments for me.
I've been wondering what it would take to have a delivery robot go to a storage facility down the road, grab my pallet of [holiday next] - and bring it to the garage and grab the pallet of [previous holiday] from garage and drop it into the storage place down the road.
and cost benefit bot to determine and then move my 7 pallets from place A down the road to place B further down the road to save $50 per month after electric and delivery is calculated.

I am blocked by meta from running ads for reasons it won't say, and I have several local business ideas I want to test with meta ads to see if they should increase.
But my Fb is blocked from running ads or boosting posts and using the meta pixel or something.
Good idea and nice system from my few minutes of checking.
A write up about why vaseline is top choice noted when searching 'acne' (just discussed more in total? more than others per year? )
I typed 'fungal acne' into the search and it changed to 'acne'.
Would be cool, although difficult I am sure, to show a price range of products mentioned.
Would be interesting to say, show only results of the past 6 months / 3 months.
Not sure if it's possible to drill down into info via different regions of the world.
I have been learning about products and usage while helping develop web assets for esthetician wanting to help people with products and services for better skin via https://modernskinscience.com/
I'll be suggested your portal for others to learn what the discussions are around the products.
As I look back and see that there are some price notes but the contrast and font size made me miss them completely on first purusal.
Love that you can get to the discussion threads right from the individual pages.
Well done!
When I see "Watch out — Acne
Toleriane Double Repair often causes breakouts, especially in sensitive, acne-prone skin due to its heavy, potentially comedogenic formula."
I kind of want to see a * or link to where that data comes from.
Is there an open source alternative for when the censoring begins?
